Trash Hauling... We have renewed our agreement with Waste Management (WM) and added recycling as an option. Trash Pickup day will remain on Friday. Recycling pickup day will be Thursday, starting Thursday January 11, 2018. Our only authorized trash hauler is WM. Let WM and/or your Board of Directors know if you are having any problems. New Pool Rule ... Our pool is a great place to visit with our neighbors and entertain friends. At times we’ve had Lot Owners with large groups of non-resident guests, crowding out Owners. Last summer the Recreational Structures Committee was asked to address this issue. We discussed and researched this and found many private associations restrict pool guests to 2 – 4 people. At the September 2016 Board of Directors meeting we discussed and proposed a new rule limiting the number of guests to 6 people.
The new rule was passed unanimously by the BOD. Effective January 1, 2017, Augusta Shores Lot Owners will be limited to six (6) non-resident guests in the pool and pavilion area. (posted 04/22/2017)
MODOT ... opened bids for the replacement of the Hwy 47/Washington Bridge and the contract was awarded to Alberici - construction is well underway. New Quarry Rules ... On 11/8/2014, the Board passed new Quarry Rules. In accordance with St. Charles County Ordinances, there will be NO dumping of anything or burning in the quarry. Click here to see the new Rules. The Association can be fined by the County if any dumping is allowed, and enforcement is expected. Individuals dumping can be fined also, and the Association will re-bill any fines to those that are responsible. (posted 11/16/2014)
Important Gate Information ... The "generic" passcode for the front and back gates is changing November 1, 2014 - see the newsletter mailed to you for the new code, or go to the Members Only page of this web site. Please note that the back gate is for Lot Owners and their friends and families only. This passcode will be changed every year. Please do not give this passcode to contractors - it is for Lot Owners and trusted friends only.
Contractors should use the front gates only, which will be open Mon-Fri from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday from 6:00 to 10:00 am. If you have a contractor that needs access at other times, please give them the "Contractors Passcode" from the newsletter or Members Only page. (posted 10/07/2014)

The 2017 Annual Meeting and Picnic was held Saturday, June 10, 2017. The meeting was well attended, elections were held and the food was good. Doug Newman and Sandi Whitworth were elected to the Board of Directors to join Ken Daming, Sue Haverstick and Ken Pingel on the Board. Congratulations and good luck to all. Reserving the Pool/Pavilion/Berg House...Owners in good standing may reserve the pavilion, pool area and Berg House for private parties. To reserve one or more areas an owner needs to contact Lisa Paule of the Recreational Structures Committee (email@example.com) at least two weeks prior to the requested reservation date and submit a $50.00 refundable deposit, in the form of a check made payable to: Augusta Shores Owners Association, along with the signed Reservation form. Real Estate Sales, Signs and Gates ... Section 10.01 of the Declaration of Protective Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions of Augusta Shores prohibits signs "except temporary signs advertising property for sale or rent, the number and size of which shall be subject to the approval of the Board of Directors". The Board has authorized a "Temporary Sign Policy" that says: 1) Sign must be less than 6 square feet in size; 2) Only 1 sign on the resident lot; 3) Open House signs shall be posted no more than 2 days prior and removed immediately following the Open House; 4) Signs providing direction to the Open House may be placed the day of the Open House and shall be removed immediately following the Open House. The Front gates are normally open 6 am to 6 pm Mon-Fri, 6 am to 10 am Saturday, and closed at other times. If you wish to have the front gates opened for an open house, please give at least 48 hours notice by sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org and the Roads Committee will do their best to accommodate you. We hope we can train you or your real estate agent in the process, since, with volunteer labor, we may not be able to service every request on time.
Mowing...The contract for mowing our common grounds has been extended for Anderson’s Lawn Care of Wentzville through 2016. Owners may use this company for their own needs if desired. No Dumping or Unauthorized Storage in the Quarry...Reminder to all residents: Dumping is NOT allowed in the ASOA Quarry. ALL storage items such as boats and trailers MUST BE clearly marked with the owner’s Lot Number. All other items will be hauled away as junk (which costs ASOA money). The ASOA has the right to assign spaces for items to be stored in the quarry. If you have any questions, please contact a Board Member.

Fishing...Please keep/remove all bass 17" and under, along with any green sunfish. please release all bass over 17". The removed fish can be thrown on the bank. This will help manage the bass population to encourage growth of bigger fish.

Notice to non-resident lot owners - enforcement of cutting and cleanup regulations will be maintained each season. There is a policy for Good Property Management that you can access from the Documents page or by clicking here. Things green up and grow fast in the Spring, so make sure to keep up with your lot.
Building? Adding on? Building an outside improvement? - If you are building a new house on a previously undeveloped lot, you must contact the Architectural Committee for plan approval and you must sign the "Rules of Engagement" - click here for a copy. If you are adding on to the outside of your house or making any improvement visible from the outside, you must contact the Architectural Committee - e-mail email@example.com.

Be Careful: Please be careful if you are walking on the roads during twilight or darkness - wear reflective or light-colored clothing, carry a light and make SURE cars can see you. Don't walk with your back to traffic.

Augusta Shores is a community of 131 homesites on 440 acres nestled in the bluffs of the Missouri River Valley between Defiance and Augusta Missouri. As of January 1, 2015 there are 90 homes in Augusta Shores with 3 under construction and more in the planning stages.
